Our generation is very smart
As well as it is composed by young who’ve started doing art.

But, people who are not aware of that, accuse them of laziness, foolishness and delinquency
And they say that they’re incapable to achieve something as if they were still in their infancy.
Instead, our generation is a household of hard workers but who are never waged
A family of good thinkers but who are never sustained and encouraged

If I say our generation
I don’t mean those people who never work but who’re fond of restoration
Those people who wait for the night and go to kill others in their houses or their cars
Those people who spend all their time in bars
Those gentlemen who spend their time at the place market playing drought and cards
Those young men who spend their time waiting for someone to rob from his phone or his money
Those young ladies who spend all their time in nightclubs thinking they’ll find there their honey
Those young people who want to be parents whilst they’re not able to take care of their household
Those parents who don’t care about their children and let them thunder in the street like mice as if they hadn’t their bold
Those girls and women who abort their babies
Those boys and men who abuse our sisters and mothers and stay free when there are no inquiries.
Those are a lost generation
A generation of degeneration
A generation that needs to be treated spiritually in terms of a good inspiration throughout poetry slam
On a basis of a rhythm and melody of our drum

If I say our generation, I want to mean those all hard workers and good thinkers
Those who are writers and lighters but not fighters
Those who hope that one day things will change
In such a way no one will think and dream about revenge.

Our generation is the one which teaches self-confidence
Because it provides a good evidence

Our generation is the one which claims against every kind of irresponsibility;
The one which is against wrong deeds in their society because it looks for tranquility;
The one which fights for justice and brotherhood because it is against violence and criminality;
The one which gives a value to every kind of creature;
The one which looks for a good future

Then, though our generation is sometimes accused that is dismissed by social Media
Though our generation is expected not to work accurately and is sometimes a topic of several speeches that are pronounced on different stadia
Though our generation is not most of the time motivated about their life
Because their life is very sharp like a knife
I declare that our generation is a wheel of development, a bed and a pillow of those who want to work hard
And get something afterward.
Our generation is the one composed by different artists especially poets and slam makers
And it is looking for its fame, brightness and smartness as long as it is a crew of good thinkers and hard workers.

Our generation is the one that needs support and adoration.
Our generation is the one of slam for new generation

À l'école, tout se partage Le tableau noir, le banc pupitre et la classe L'ambiance, la fatigue et le courage La réussite, l'échec et la chance. La poésie au Burundi

Depuis longtemps, au Burundi comme partout en Afrique et au monde entier, la poésie a été pratiquée par nos ancêtres. Au Burundi, il y avait une sorte de poésie orale très poussée grâce aux allitérations et assonances qui lui donnaient un caractère rythmique faisant beaucoup plaisir à l'oreille.                                Par exemple : Dans ces vers de mon poème gospel en Kirundi intitulé : « Icese co gushimira Imana   »), qui a des caractéristiques de la poésie ancestrale burundaise,  il y a des assonances qui s’articulent autour de / sh   / et / c  / : «... ni sh ime ni sh imirize mu gu sh ima n sh imira uwamu sh imi sh ije (…) yangabiye umu c unguzi yan c unguye izuba riva i Golgota kuri c a gihe c ’isaha y’i c enda aho ya c ikana mu kwitanga nk’i c iru c ’igi c umuro c ama kin c ura kikan c uranguza. Ma perle rare

Plus qu’une mère, plus qu’une sœur Elle m’a fait goûter aux délices d’une vie de valeur. Elle est toujours choyée dans mon petit coeur Elle m'a ranimé, m'a protégé, m'a encouragé même en pleurs. L'appeler ma mère ne serait pas chose folle La magnifier est tout ce qui m'égaie et m'emballe Sa bonté est une lumière qui éclaire mes pas sans cesse Son affection est une vague qui me remue et me hisse. Plus qu’une mère, plus qu’une sœur Elle m’a fait goûter aux délices d’une vie de valeur. Elle est ce vent doux qui souffle dans le matin Et évacue le brouillard qui couvre une montagne d'un avenir incertain. Son sourire tendre fait jaillir des bénédictions Son coeur plein de magnificence asperge l'affection. Elle est cette étoile qui a allumé ma vie comme une brindille Tel le grand astre du ciel, elle a tout fait  pour éclairer toutes mes nuits.
